A cozy living room with a window on the left, decorated with potted plants and a small pumpkin. In the center, there's a blue sofa with plaid pillows and a blanket. Two lamps with warm lighting flank the sofa, and framed landscape artwork hangs on the wall above. To the right, there's a wooden door, a large decorative tapestry hanging on the wall, and another side table with a lamp and a framed picture.

Therapy Sessions

Therapy can help when life feels overwhelming, uncertain, or out of balance. People who come to therapy may be feeling anxious, stuck, disconnected, or weighed down by stress, or they may be goal-oriented and focused on finding solutions to their problems.

Emotional distress often arises in response to everyday pressures, relationship strain, family dynamics, transitions, or unresolved experiences from the past. Whether you are seeking support around a specific situation, processing a traumatic experience or long-standing patterns, or struggling with anxiety, depression, or a general sense of unease, therapy can help.

My work is grounded in a systems-oriented approach, helping individuals explore how family history, relationships, and life experiences shape the ways they think, feel, and respond. Together, we focus on increasing insight, strengthening emotional regulation, and improving overall functioning in your life and relationships.

My office is located in New Providence, NJ, and I work with clients from nearby communities including Chatham, Madison, Summit, Berkeley Heights, Scotch Plains, and Watchung. Telehealth is also available for clients throughout New Jersey. I work with adults, including college-aged clients through later adulthood.

My Approach

I approach therapy as a collaborative process, grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to identify patterns and offer perspective—helping you build insight, and more adaptive ways of relating and responding to life’s challenges.

My work is integrative and systems-oriented, drawing from the following approaches:

  • Bowen Family Systems Theory

  • Internal Family Systems

  • Gottman Method Couples Therapy

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills

  • Mindfulness-based practices

  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)

  • Positive Psychology (PP)

  • Polyvagal Theory

  • Emotional Freedom Technique

  • Somatic Therapies

  • Existential Therapy

Rather than focusing on symptom reduction alone, these approaches are used to help clients understand patterns, increase self-awareness, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen functioning within relationships and family systems.
